I entered the wolrd of bow making many years ago. I had no knowledge whatsoever. Bowyers are a strange bunch, but always prepared to help newcomers. I was welcomed by many but some stood out with their great experience, knowledge and willing to share, setting me on the right path. One of those is Arne, my friend and extraordinary human being.

Arne is a Scandinavian, living at the far north of Sweden on a secluded location in his own forest. Great bowyer, started making bows as a young boy, and has been at it ever since. Arne taught me some of the most important bow making and heat treating techniques, and introduced me to some of the greatest masters of the trade. He is not just a great bowyer, but great shot too, with impressing skill in handling many types of bows. Arrows made by Arne are art pieces by themselves, made with great care and knowledge, reflecting many years of his experience.

His somewhat mystical philosophy of life steers toward complete freedom of living and thinking, away from evils of modern world and troubles associated with it. Just his appearance speaks tons of him, complete opposite of today’s urban …

Primer kako čak i od drveta srednjeg kvaliteta (bagrem je inače odlično drvo ali konkretno ovaj komad je bio jako porozan i lagan) može da postane odličan luk ako se prilagodi dizajnu. Nadamo se da je novi vlasnik zadovoljan.
